This illustration depicts the P347 Leyland Tiger, one of Ireland’s most charismatic historic buses, now preserved at the National Transport Museum in the grounds of Howth Castle Demesne.
Often described as “the real Celtic Tiger” for its powerful presence and unmistakable engine growl, this vehicle still comes to life for special events and occasional film appearances — a rare example of living transport heritage.
My approach was to capture its essence through a clean, minimal, and immediate visual style, distilling the bus into essential lines while preserving its strong personality and iconic silhouette.
A graphic tribute to a machine that continues to carry stories, decades after leaving the road.
